In a small house in a dystopian future a young girl (5) is cleaning and tidying the house. There are parents also cleaning and tidying around the house. The young girl walks up the stairs with a hoover and begins tidying her room and hoovering, as she reaches the window she sees a small butterfly knocking against the window. Shocked she quickly turns off the hoover and puts a stool close to the window and stands on it to be the same height as the butterfly. She then starts tapping on the window at the butterfly, after a short time the butterfly flies off and the girl stares out the window as it disappears. She goes downstairs and outside through the kitchen to an outside store of recycled packaging. She begins to construct a rocket out of boxes and bottles. Once she has completed making the rocket she takes it indoors to her mum and dad who are now sitting in the living room watching television. She shows them the rocket and says that she is going to fly it to the moon. The Dad says that it is not possible that the rocket will never fly. The girl fights for her belief in her rocket but she is told to grow up and that it can’t fly its only pretend. The girl leaves the room upset and disheartened. She takes her rocket in to the garden dragging it behind her. She places the rocket on the ground and sees next to it on the floor a dead butterfly, she picks it up and puts it in the flower bead and covers it in soil, she then returns to her rocket and sits inside. She gazes up at the sky looking in to the night.
