Changes to details of the story
- Names of characters:
Girl = Kate
Dad = Greg
Mum = Fi
- Scene of Apollo 13 needed to be made more specific, chose the scene at the beginning of the film when Tom Hanks is in his garden looking at the moon and putting his thumb in front of the moon and away again. I chose this seen to show the parallels between my character and Tom Hanks and use it as a way of drawing in my older audience as adults will be able to use their knowledge of the film and the fact that they do not get to the moon, making it a sad realisation that they never will go to the moon. But for the younger audience they will be able to see that the girl is thinking of space travel because of the film about a moon.
Changes to Story
- Girl close the door not her dad.
- Creates a more strong symbol of her shutting her dad out of her life.
- Creates a divide between the two characters.
- Shows her disgust that he doesn't believe
